Today on the 27th of October around 30 people demonstrated in front of
the Hungarian embassy to show their solidarity with Ahmed H. and all
other prisoners of fortress EUrope. It was demanded that Ahmed H. should
be released immediately. This message was also passed to people working
at the embassy personally. The demonstration was also directed against
state terror towards migrants. That was underlined by many pictures of
police violence at the border of Hungary.
The demonstrators also made clear that it is not only about the racist
show trials against Ahmed H. in Hungary, but that also Austria plays the
same game. Especially with the upcoming far right and conservative
government: Orban already anounced how happy he would be to work
together. But even before the far rights join the government: Austria -
no matter which parties are in the government- is taking part in the
terror against migrants. It deports people, it builds fences, and it
uses racist hate-speech to legitimize their actions. It takes part in
keeping up the capitalist neo-colonial world order in which only good
can travel free, but only some privileged, western human beings can
travel wherever they want. To defend itself against protest movements
the state uses the label 'terrorism' to shut them down. But: Fighting
for freedom is not terrorism!
We will come back to protest for the immediate freedom of Ahmed H. until
he can leave the prison!
We will continue to protest until all prisoners of EUrope are released!
Our solidarity is stronger than their walls and fences!
